2-Radioallergosorbent test (RAST)
2-Skin test:
Skin tests are of two types prick tests and the intradermal test. This test is less expensive and affordable. On the back or arm, tests are performed. If your test result is positive then your skin becomes red and swells in the test area. The specialist does the test.
-Skin prick test:
In this test, the specialist place allergen solution on the skin. They leave it for 15 minutes. If the result is positive then your skin becomes red itchy and swell in the test area. A skin test is less expensive then allergy blood tests.
-Intradermal test:
In this test, a small amount of allergen is injected into the skin. After 15 minutes, if you have allergy from this substance then redness and swelling appear in the test area.
