Saturated Fats:

Saturated fats can also be the cause of the blockage of coronary arteries. They can be found in meat and various dairy products like beef, butter, cheese, etc. The fat caused by these products can cause arterial blockage by increasing the bad cholesterol in the body.

Trans fat:

Trans fat is also called hydrogenated fat. It also contributes a lot to the blockage of arteries. Trans fat is found in processed foods. It is typically listed on the food labels as hydrogenated oil or partially hydrogenated oil.

Diagnosis Of Myocardial Infarction: –

To check whether you have a heart attack or not, the doctor will listen to the heart for the irregularities of the heartbeat. Like they may measure blood pressure. An electrocardiogram known as EKG will be done to measure the heart’s electrical activity. A blood test might also be done to check for proteins that are linked with heart damage, such as troponin. Angiogram can also be done with coronary catheterization to look for areas of blockage in the heart.

Treatments For Myocardial Infarction: –

Heart attacks required immediate treatment, that begins in the emergency room. A very simple procedure called angioplasty is done to unblock the arteries that supply blood to the heart. In angioplasty, the surgeon will insert a long thin tube called a catheter through your artery to reach the area of blockage. It may also send a mesh tube called a stent to the site of the blockage to open it. The stent can prevent the artery from blocking and closing again.
Another treatment is known as coronary artery bypass graft-CABG. In this procedure, the surgeon will reroute the veins and arteries to allow blood to flow around the area of blockage. A CABG sometimes has done immediately after the heart attack.

There is also the other number of treatment and medications to prevent heart attack like: –

  • Blood thinners such as aspirin.
  • Thrombolytics to dissolve the clots.
  • An antiplatelet drug-like clopidogrel to prevent forming of clots.
  • Nitroglycerin to widen up the blood vessels.

There are many ways to prevent Myocardial Infarction. One way is to eat a healthy diet that should be consist of whole grains, vegetables, fruits or lean protein. You should reduce the amount of sugar, saturated fats, trans fats and cholesterol. This is very important to the people with diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
