What Is Temperature?

Definition of temperature is; ‘The average kinetic energy present in a molecule of any substance is known as temperature’. It is the total energy of the particles in any object. As like heat, the temperature does not depend on the size or number of the particles. It depends on how much hot or cold the object is. It is measured in degrees and its units are Kelvin, Celcius, and Fahrenheit. The thermometer is used to measure the degree of temperature. The speed of atoms and molecules of any substance is also measured by temperature.

What Is Fever?

Fever is a high temperature in a human body which is higher than the normal body temperature. The high temperature in the body is due to the re-setting of the hypothalamic set point usually by pyrogens. It is the failure of the body to control and maintain the internal body temperature. Another type of fever is Hyperthermia. It is not caused by pyrogens, but due to various factors like;
-Drugs like neuroleptics
-Substance abuse
-Excessive exercise
-Exposure to humid

We can say that all fevers are high temperatures, but all high temperatures are not fevers. It can be treated with antipyretic drugs, for example, Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, or Aspirin.
